When a pest problem is more than a pest-control question

Separate emergency, poison, medical and wildlife exposure situations from routine pest treatment.

Severe allergic reaction or breathing difficulty

Use emergency medical services. Do not spend time identifying or treating the nest first.

Pesticide exposure or poisoning concern

If the person is unconscious, having trouble breathing or having convulsions, call 911. Otherwise check the product label first-aid directions and call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 for US first-aid guidance. Keep the label/container available; do not induce vomiting unless the label or emergency personnel tells you to.

Bat or potentially rabid mammal contact

Avoid touching the bat or potentially rabid mammal. If contact may have occurred, CDC advises speaking with a healthcare professional/health department promptly; do not release a bat involved in possible exposure until public-health guidance is obtained. PestDeck does not assess rabies exposure.

Significant structural termite damage

Avoid destructive DIY investigation. Arrange an appropriate termite/structural inspection where integrity may be affected.
